Using Spare Time to Make a Real Difference

A community-driven project creating accessible mobile apps for the partially sighted. Born from personal experience, powered by passion.

What We've Built So Far

AudioTag

GPL-3.0 Android Accessible

Turn any NFC tag into a personal audio note

Our first project! AudioTag started when a partially sighted relative asked for something that simply didn't exist. It transforms any NFC tag into an audio note - perfect for labeling items, creating audio reminders, or building accessible environments.

What it does:

  • Record voice messages and link them to NFC tags
  • Convert text to speech for easy audio labels
  • Works completely offline - your privacy matters
  • Full accessibility support with TalkBack
  • Multiple themes including high contrast
  • Simple backup and sharing features

About This Project

Sometimes the best solutions come from personal experience and a bit of spare time.

One Eyed Man Labs started when I realized what hobby developers could achieve in their spare time to make real-world impacts for the partially sighted community. As someone who is partially sighted myself, I understand the daily challenges we face with mobile technology.

What We're About

Real Problems, Real Solutions

We build apps that address actual needs from the partially sighted community, not just what we think might be useful.

Privacy Matters

Your data stays on your device. No tracking, no data collection, no hidden agendas - just apps that work for you.

Community Powered

This is a community effort. Share ideas, contribute code, test apps, or just spread the word - every bit helps.

Hobby Development

Built in spare time with passion, not corporate deadlines. We focus on making things work well rather than shipping fast.
